Glossary:

Architectural Visualisation: Also called Arch Viz, is the process of rendering, illustrating, and animating in 3d by using computer graphics software, the purpose of doing architectural projects displaying how will look before the built building. The standard 3d software for visualization includes Autodesk 3dsmax, Chaos Group Vray, and Adobe Photoshop but is not limited to.

3D Design: To create 3d models of products or building designs by using 3d software. In architecture, the most common software programs used to design in 3d are 3dsmax, Revit, and Sketchup.

3D Render: A 3d Render or rendering is an image generated by 3d software using a 3d scene design. A render engine uses these elements to generate the final rendering. The common render engines used in architectural visualization are v-ray, mental ray, maxwell render, and others. For high-end rendering, the v-ray engine is used mostly.
